After all the Lamb-or-Ghinis, Revontons and Dark Knight vehicles (well, the Black really DOES show off her white wool...) I found a White Audi...and, while it was a nice ride...I'm afraid there were some problems in parking skills...

And we found this nice, sensible vehicle...but...

But then, we found this sweet ride...
Nothing but the best, pure Lil Lamb if ever there was a ride to call her own...
AND...
it has a special thermostat that stops the vehicle, opens all emergency doors, and politely asks everyone to exit in a calm and casual pace...IF it detects a grill being started up...

Now, speaking of "perfect" rides, there were some real miracles out there...

An interesting idea... taking pictures of specific (or satlantic, if you live on the East Coast) snowflakes as they fall. Not only is that a worthless endeavor here because of the speed they're dropping, it turns out that their structure is clumps of many snowflakes, and as they strike each other, explode in miniature white flurries of powder and flakes.
While "pretty" they were also trouble in disguise. (or, trouble in d'skies, if you wish)

Course, it was easier in the night...
It just kept falling...

And kept falling...

I dunno if this is still snow or a close up of a new strain of bacteria...

The snow came in such great soft drifts from the sky that it landed along and on the electric lines untill they finally collapsed, and we were without power for the rest of the night.
(We think they came by around 4 AM and got us turned back on, but...
The line is still laying in the road.

I found a way to keep the pizza crust soft, but better cooked (no mushy crust bottom)...
Use Olive oil on the surface of the cookie sheet, at around ten minutes till it's finished, brush olive oil along the edges, and sprinkle parmesian cheese around the whole thing.

The bad news?
I made mine around 9:30 this evening, and now it's 4:20, and there's heartburn ...

Same ol' news?
I think tomorrow, I'll try that with a supreme pizza with pepperoni and sausage.

OK, so, serious paying attention to the driving while in crowds, and we stopped at a McGreasies while diving for gas and discovering that she did NOT have access to a check she had just deposited in her account (as we left town)...

I have already done the math and figure us to be back home near nine o'clock.

I'm happy because I can pay attention to driving, just turn the camera on the general landscape (one of these days, I'll make a video of the bad shots) and get great pix. Not even trying.
Not even...paying attention to why the colors are starting to look more brilliant.

Yeah, I'm as happy as a moose taking a crap after a day at the gooseberry orchard.
But, you DO know what makes color more colorful, yes?

Wasn't sure about what to do with the Hummingbird feeder. Didn't have as many visits from the bird, and had plenty of sugar water. So...what to do?
Then I noticed a new customer at the feeder.

Butterfly? Moth?
Who cares? It's a hungry critter that wanted some sustenance. And, for me, an answer.
So I grabbed a pie pan (apple) and poured the hummingbird water in it and set it to them at the stump...

Now, it brings to mind to say something about two other events going on around the USA...
First... squirrels attacking bird feeders.
OK, folk, the point is, if you put food out for a wild animal, say for a bird, then, don't be upset if another wild animal finds and figures out how to use the food stuff.
Oh, sure...you can whine about putting extra money into buying an
electronic computerized hide-it-from-the-squirrels-bird-feeder, and the squirrels "raiding " the food.
But, it's all good.
Squirrels are cute to watch, they don't crap on your car, and (I have heard) they are tasty.

Now, secondly...I have been hearing the drums of the gop armies banging in the night.
Now at least two of them have offered killing immigrants as they try to seek a better life here.
And the pandering usually goes along the line that taxpayers are paying for these people.
There was a recent government that called for war on behalf of a lie. No complaints?
It cost us some trillions of dollars, and yet these gop members feel that a few million spent on unregistered immigrants is far more dangerous to our society.
The same recent government took to their pockets and the pockets of their families and friends, money from these wars. LOTS of money.
THAT money that lines their pockets were taxpayer funds, too. But no complaints?

IF a politician proves himself, or herself, out to be a lying sack of Bupkis mit Kuduchas, then that politician shouldn't get voted in to please party favorites.
Straight ticket voting IS how people like hitler, saddam, and Ahmadinejad got their starts in show business.

On Being Laid Off

Bust your chops going to college, five years later, graduate cum laude celebrato, meet some guy who whisks you away to Florida, and because you were born and raised in Northern Ohio (brrrrrr) Daytona feels like the most comfortable PJs you ever had...
You switch to a different job description than the college courses trained you ....
years later, the guy is gone ....
the house is an old street creature begging for an umbrella ....
but you still have a job ....
until they mass lay everyone who doesn't have their lips firmly pressed against the bosses butt.

Many ideas come to you about what to do now. Your creative juices flow readily and you try some entrepreneurial adventures...sometimes winning, sometimes not. OK OK mostly not winning ....
Steady at putting in applications, your personal best is a comparison of how fast you can fill in an application, (3 minutes, 44 seconds) ....
and you occasionally cry in the dark corners of your bedroom at night ...

But then you get a job, again, because you had never quit looking.
YAY!
You're getting into the swing of things, perform your dance so well they promote you to Full Time, and just about then you're thinking "Hey! I need a NEW CAR!"
And a roof.
And some minor carpentry work around the house.
You send your distant boyfriend art supplies....Such a sweetie
And then, one Friday morning before going on a much needed break from house and work ....

laid off.

And as they haul you away in handcuffs and wrench that hammer out of your co-worker's head.... no...not really.
Because the thing is you stand tall, walk out with your head high and your shoulders straight, and as polite as you can be.
Not until you get back home do you actually "mention" what you think of your employer (who promised all of you a red carpet return if business turns around) ...
and maybe you cry to your good dog a little. Until he counts your breasts again (ow! Bad Dog!) but even then, you don't bark at the dog.

And so, I pulled out my little picture again (been carrying it since the day I saw it) and suddenly, I realized it ain't always funny.

Funny how some things are supported without even noticing it.

I took a long time (too long, really) figuring out that we're ALL of us beautiful.

Although some say there's a chance I have rocks in my head...

But, I like to think of it as creatively enhanced...

This One Came Out of the Corn Fields

Sugar on velveeta, that dog came out of the cornfield, and after picking us, left, and came back with an old coyote carcass.

I must have argued with that dog and his bag of bones, complete with some fur, a remnant of skin...

He howled when Steve would play piano, and would get the other dogs doing the same, though they had never once done so before.

That's what got him his moniker...

Wolfgang Amadeus Canine Yarddog.

Wacy ... and even without the K, he fit the bill.

As in that very first Winter, Steve hauled ass to California in January, and in ten below weather with twenty mile an hour winds, Wacy prances around in the front yard (no trees or windbreak to speak of) and all the other dogs standing, staring out the door at him...

But not a one of them wanted out in that.

The ten year old block of cave aged cheddar...somehow disappeared, and suddenly, a dog that doesn't need to go as much as he used to.

For a couple of days.

Then...

all of it. Red wax wrapper and all.

Never trained, but came on a whistle.

Used to escape on occasion and wander back with pot plants in his mouth. (wouldn't even WANT to know where he got them. I suspect a mad grower somewhere)

Finally succumbed to gravity.

Fell more than stood.

Stuck in a corner more than going somewhere.

No more dignity when a cat pushes you out of the way.

From August of 95 to today, and he was already a grown animal when first encountered, though a fresh adult.

16 and a half years is a long haul for a dog.

Plenty of laughs.

Plenty of meat.

Barrels and barrels of Love.

Oddly enough, he would have loved my visit if for only one reason. My excellent coffee making abilities and the airpot I use to carry it around with.
Freshly ground beans, slowly dripped with the hottest water to milk the very best of the coffee bean into its container, and not burning it all day long, frying the very oils that give us that rich, full bodied flavor.

We really want your opinion on this matter. It's a worldwide polling that is needed to apprehend the TRUTH before it is lost in the anals of archival bureaucracy! (yeah...it's spelled right)
So, what we've discovered so far is that:

87% of people who answer polls have no idea what the poll is for, 13% of those who don't answer the polls hire 4% of their staff to answer the way they want answered.
Now, when we found this, the next logical step was to poll who liked cash, who liked gold, and who liked silver, so that prices could be set on these items...

Amazingly, our findings were that somehow, the actual numbers got misplaced and all that are left are these bars.
And, speaking of bars...
A termite walks into a saloon, steps up to the bar and asks..."Is the bar tender, here?"

Man, this guy does NOT cut any slack when it comes to his opinion.

And, well, there's a heck of a ring of truth in his concept, which only means I'm laughing till tears are streaming, and simultaneously wondering, "why is that?" but...

Old news, yes. Just another perspective, maybe missed, maybe not.
Of all the things that are lethal and legal, it seems odd that a single plant was chosen to represent the stubbornness of our government.
That a single plant could actually create non-partisanship denial of freedom within our government.
OUR government.

And three government agencies all found marijuana to be less harmful than
alcohol
aspirin
caffeine
tobacco
fast cars
and WAR
and the last government agency was hand picked by ex-President Nixon,
touted as the MOST comprehensive study done on marijuana,
and we're talking the sixties, so, a long held non-partisanship, eh?
And there are studies showing good things about it...
cures breast cancer...the gals may be interested in that.
cures prostate cancer...MOST men will be taking a new view of marijuana with that info
lung cancer, skin cancer, relief foe Cerebral Palsy victims, relief for Parkinson's disease and MS...
and, most amazingly...Alzheimer ! Here everyone thought it kills memory, and yet, it improves memory.

And what does this dollar bill have to do with anything?
Well, it's no secret I don't believe in religion, but, I do believe in a creator and a spirit.
I hate that there is any connection with a government and a deity, and for that, "In God We Trust" is uncalled for.
Especially when you consider just how much money the United States of America spends on WAR and killing other human beings. Highest budget item on the deficit books, it is.
So?...
The dollar bill?
Simply that one can find something good in things, even if they aren't perfect...
